Message If you are so concerned, keep your car stock. Just about anything you do that increases the power output of the engine could theoretically make the engine more prone to failure. I have read about how a one-piece driveshaft will put the driveshaft and transmission at a greater angle and potentially lead to premature failure, yet many people have had no problems with a one-piece driveshaft.

The JWT filter has to potential to foul the MAF, especially if the user cleans and over-oils the filter. This can lead to a lean condition and potentially damage the engine. I can go on about pretty much all the mods that you can do. Engine design and modification is a series of compromises. Often you compromise durability and reliability for increased output. Live with it, or leave it stock. For many people, the risk of running an UD pulley is worth the increased performance. Just like using a BC to increase boost is worth the risk of premature engine failure.

So why are you so hung up on the UD pulley?
